The start of the new year is always an exciting time of change, so we thought, what better time to hard launch the new product naming convention here at Pacvac!
After over 40 years of using the same product names, and along with the feedback from our customers that some of our product names can be a bit of a mouthful - *cough* Superpro 700 battery advanced *cough* - we decided it was time for a change.
So throughout 2023 we began shedding some words and soft launched our new naming convention, so our customers can spend less time saying our product names and get back to enjoying them!
How exactly did we do this?
Well any product within our range that is a battery operated machine, is now a part of the ‘go’ series - so whenever you see the word ‘go’ after a product name, it means it’s one of our cordless, lithium-ion battery backpack vacuums.
If there isn’t the word ‘go’ after a product name, it means it is a corded machine, and its name will often give you a hint as to what its unique features are.
For example, within our canister range, ‘Glide 300’ has now been renamed ‘Glide’ after how effortlessly the four wheels allow it to travel along during cleaning tasks.
As for ‘Glide wispa 300’, this now goes by the name ‘Hush’, because of its special ability to run in a power-saving, reduced noise capacity.
Within the ‘Superpro’ range, our Superpro 700 is now simply ‘Superpro’ and our famous tongue twister the ‘Superpro 700 battery advanced’ has been shortened to ‘Superpro go’ - you’re welcome.
The ‘Superpro Micron 700’ and our ‘Superpro Duo’ are now named ‘Micron’ and ‘Duo’ respectively, whilst our ‘Thrift 650’ named for being our most economic product offering, is now called ‘Thrift’.
In 2020, we launched our compact and lightweight Velo, which now goes by the name of ‘Velo go’ as it’s a cordless battery operated backpack vacuum.
We are excited to be launching a corded version this year, offering up to 900W of power whilst still being one of the most lightweight machines on the market - this product will be called ‘Velo’.
Whilst we realise this new naming convention will ultimately result in more paperwork for us and probably a few double glances for you, our customers - we believe change is good.
We look forward to starting the new year with a more streamlined product offering from a company who continues to take on feedback as part of our commitment to always improving!
